Kaplan University Online
The Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology program is designed to prepare students with the general education, applied knowledge, technical skills, and communication skills to pursue a wide range of entry-level positions in the information technology field including the areas of network administration, software programming, and Web development. Students are taught the foundational skills to install and maintain computer networks, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, manage databases, and develop Web pages. This program is designed to prepare graduates to pursue employment in the field, or for jobs in related fields, the specific job titles of which may not be represented in the program title. Although Kaplan University will assist students with job placement, finding a job is the individual responsibility of the student. The University does not guarantee that any student will be placed in any particular job, eligible for job advancement opportunities, or employed at all. The Associate of Applied Science in Information Technology program consists of a minimum of 90 quarter credit hours. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be awarded an associate of applied science degree.
